Just before the year-end of 2004, Congress passed two new tax laws, which provided tax relief to individual and business taxpayers and created additional tax planning opportunities. These new laws, the Working Families Relief Act ("WFTRA) and the American Job Creation Act of 2004 ("AJCA"), extend some popular tax breaks and reinstate several business tax provisions that had expired or were due to expire soon.
